Sundance 2025: Must-Know Events, Films & Hotspots!
Sundance 2025 runs January 23 through February 2 — 90 films across 11 days, with screenings from morning to midnight and an online component (January 30–February 2) where films stream for $35 each or up to $800 for unlimited access.
Films worth knowing: Kiss of the Spider-Woman starring Jennifer Lopez, SLY LIVES!, Opus (a horror film about the cult of celebrity), Train Dreams with Benedict Cumberbatch and Carey Mulligan, and Pee-wee as Himself, the tribute to Paul Reubens. Expect celebrity sightings all over town: Lopez, Cumberbatch, Olivia Colman, Steven Yeun, Willem Dafoe, Mark Ruffalo.
The nightlife is half the festival. Main Street is the epicenter, all walkable even in snow: The Spur for live music and rustic charm, Premier Park City (the newest addition — house music Saturdays), the legendary No Name Saloon with its rooftop patio, and The Cabin with its chill bar upstairs and concert venue downstairs. Finish the night at Downstairs — Park City's hidden Vegas-style club with premium DJs and bottle service.
The big series: Insomniac's High Altitude Series at The Marquis runs nightly parties with international DJs — Cloonee (Jan 23), Kaskade (Jan 24), Dillon Francis (Jan 26), Illenium (Feb 1). Deer Valley's Slopeside Sets at Chute Eleven run daily 11–6 with Coco & Breezy (Jan 25) and ACRAZE (Feb 3) headlining. Tao's pop-up at Utah Film Studios brings TYGA on January 24 with invite-only parties past 2 AM.
One more thing worth knowing: 2027 marks Sundance's shift away from Park City. Enjoy these editions — they're the last of an era, and festival weeks remain some of the most valuable nights of the year for anyone who owns property here.
